I bought this Wigo Jade flat iron knowing I could have spent my money on a famed Chi flat iron instead, but I decided to take a chance. I can’t believe I wasted my money. I have long, thin, wavy hair, and this flat iron does nothing to help it straighten. I live in Houston, Texas, and as soon as i step out of the door, my hair frizzes and it looks like i didn’t spend 30 minutes straightening it. this flat iron has also completely ruined my hair- my stylist said it is completely burned and i shouldn’t straighten it for a while. i used thermal protectors (bed head) and still, my hair is damaged for a long time. NOT a good buy, especially for the ridiculous price. GO BUY A CHI INSTEAD!

if you are looking for a good flat iron, look no further. this one gives a nice quick result and heats up really fast and therefor is big on saving time. i don’t like to spend big bucks on hair tools but anything under 0 isn’t going to take you far.

I have only had the product for a month and have used it several times. This product had been recommended by a friend whose daughter is a beautician and rated it very high. Of course, it will take a little time for me to get the straightening routine down. I have very thick and curly hair so I start at the bottom and work my way to the top of my head.

I bought this product at a thrift store in highschool, and it was great for crimping and waving my thick, straight hair. It did take some time, dividing my hair into small sections and working through it piece by piece. However, the unit does not work very well as a straight/flat iron. The plates just don’t get hot enough for straightening curled or very frizzy hair. I suggest this product for those who just want to crimp their hair. If you need a flat iron for straightening hair buy a purpose specific product for it.
For the record my crimper survived nearly ten years of occasional (1-2 per month) use… until it broke during a move.

The product I received, was not the product in the picture (twice).
I ordered this because in the picture it shows the blue flocked plates, which I like using because my hair is baby fine & burns easily. However, I received the set that has the star plate instead. I sent it back thinking it was a mistake, but when they sent the replacement, it was the wrong set again! I guess they don’t have the one I want, even though they are showing it in the picture. I have told them to change the picture…but obviously they don’t listen to feedback.
